The appeal of Pac-Man, both as a cultural phenomenon and a cherished gaming memory, remains undimmed even after more than four decades. The Atari 2600 port, programmed by Tod Frye, offers a distinct rendition of this arcade classic, setting it apart visually and audibly from its coin-operated counterpart. In short, it is infamous for being unfaithful to the original. Despite its contrasts, it has emerged as a prized collectible, enjoyed by many players seeking a break from the familiarity of the arcade version.
The box has worn corners and shows indenting and wrinkling on the front and back, but it displays well. The top of the left spine has a small tear/hole with wrinkling. Wata notes, "Tear on box (spine)."
